Living Your Life Passion
The alarm went off at 5:00 a.m.… oh what a beautiful day I found!
I quickly made a cup of coffee and out the door Charlie, my dog, and I went. Wow, what an amazing day! I started saying all that I was grateful for: the beautiful day; breathing in the amazing air; my lovely yard filled with the aroma of lilacs in full bloom; my comfortable bed on which I was able to get such a restful sleep last night; my home that when I walk back in will be filled with the smell of fresh-brewed coffee; the presence of my partner and, most of all, my 12-year-old niece… whom I am about to awaken so we can head out to a dog show to let her live her life passion as a dog handler.
Now it’s 45 minutes later (5:44 a.m.) and we are jumping into the car heading to St. Peter, Minnesota. The sun is rising on the driver’s side of the car and it is like driving in Heaven. There is nothing better than a sunrise in the morning shining on the open farm fields. It is peeking through the trees and rising over the hills, and I say to my niece, “Look, Tifani, isn’t that beautiful?” We were engulfed by the beauty of Mother Earth in all of her glory.
The 1 hour and 15 minutes flew by like I was watching a movie that I didn't want to end.
Soon we arrived at the county fairgrounds and the amazing Mother Earth show ended.
It is Saturday and I would have been great to sleep in… I could have been bitter because I had to get up early and drive to a dog show when my TO DO list is a mile long. But when you rise each day with gratitude in your thoughts and in your heart, things to be grateful for appear in front of you - it's that simple. If I slept in, I would have missed the sheer joy of the beautiful sunrise and all the beauty it created. I would have missed watching a 12-year-old live her passion. I would have missed what life is all about: being in the moment, enjoying what gifts the universe is presenting at the time.
I love working and living my own life purpose and passion. It allows me the freedom to support others, such as my 12-year-old niece to live her passion as well.
I am feeling extremely blessed and grateful this morning!
